June 2009 - ExtraView announces version 6.2

The ExtraView product becomes two versions

SCOTTS VALLEY, Calif., June 28th, 2008 - ExtraView Corporation, a world leader in issue tracking and workflow software, announced a major change in product strategy. To respond to the worldwide economic situation, ExtraView Corporation announced a new version of ExtraView, available without any license cost to its customers. With immediate effect, there are two versions of ExtraView:

ExtraView

Available without license cost, this version of ExtraView may be downloaded directly from ExtraView's web site. This is a fully functional and fully featured version of ExtraView designed to implement simple to complex tracking systems for any industry. There are no restrictions on the umber of users that may use this ExtraView version. To complement the basic ExtraView platform, several solutions such as bug-tracking and customer support tracking are also available free of charge. Customers may also use the full range of configuration features to build their own tracking solutions. Included with the software is an embedded copy of the Apache Derby database - also provided without license charge.

ExtraView is setting up a support forum where customers can obtain online support, also without charge. Customers may optionally purchase a support agreement directly from ExtraView, gaining access to direct, speedy responses from ExtraView's support team. The support agreement also benefits customers by giving them access to software updates and upgrades.

ExtraView GC

ExtraView GC is an attractively priced issue-tracking platform designed to meet the needs of major global corporations and corporations that require a tracking solution that meets the needs of a regulated system with the highest standard of audit trail and security. It embodies all the features of the ExtraView version, plus provides multi-language capabilities, additional reporting and additional audit capability.

ExtraView has been used by many global companies in many industries to implement simple to complex tracking systems. Existing ExtraView customers will automatically receive a license to the ExtraView GC version.

January 2009 - ExtraView announces version 6.1

More than 70 new features added

SCOTTS VALLEY, Calif., January 4th, 2009 - ExtraView Corporation, a world leader in issue tracking and workflow software, announced the immediate availability of ExtraView 6.1. The key new features in this release are:

▶ Support for the MySQL database

▶ Full implementation of Ajax to eliminate almost all screen refreshes while processing issues

▶ New image display type designed to allow the use of images within a workflow, with full audit trail on their changes

▶ New Dashboard report type allowing many reports to be displayed on a single dashboard that can be placed on a user's home page

▶ New Service Level Agreement (SLA) reporting to improve the visibility of customer response time

▶ New chart types to allow the charting of almost any data

▶ SOAP interface, built to the Web Service 1.2 standard

April 2008 - ExtraView announces version 6.0

Major usability and performance enhancements

SCOTTS VALLEY, Calif., April 2nd, 2008 - ExtraView Corporation, a world leader in issue tracking and workflow software, today announced that version 6.0 will ship later this month, after an intense period of development.

President and CEO Carl Koppel said "We have pushed the boundaries of what is possible with web technology to new levels. Our product is now easier and faster to configure, and end users gain important benefits such as being able to edit information directly on reports with no need to drill down. All-in-all, the new release makes our administrators and our end-users much more productive".

There are approximately fifty new features in version 6.0, each of which makes ExtraView easier to administer, or faster to respond to users. The most significant improvements are:


▶ Significant performance improvements in managing issues and preparing reports

▶ New "Quickfind" search mechanism that indexes all the text in the database and allows the retrieval of information at lightning speed

▶ New "Quickedit" feature on reports that allows the editing of issues, without the need to enter an edit screen

▶ Any report can now be created in the Adobe PDF format

▶ Fields can now be created by Business area and Project, and will only be available to those Business Areas and Projects

▶ Security permissions to fields can now be managed from within the data dictionary and from within the layout editor
